Gram's Visit

Matt's stepmom Kathy came in town for a whirlwind visit this past weekend.  It was the first time we've seen someone cry more than Soren!

The Park

While it clearly lacks a Rocket-Ship, there is still a local park for Soren to play in. We took him there the other day to go down the slides.

Does anyone else find it suspicious that Soren doesnt seem to be awake and this trip is entirely for Mom?

Soren:

Clearly the center of the known universe. Also known as "the kid" (usage: "the kid is finally sleeping, dont breath"), cub (usage: "uh oh, the cub is stirring"), roo-monkey (usage: "it seems like the little roo-monkey is stretching; maybe he will go back to sleep"), sorenpants (usage: "it doesnt look like sorenpants is going back to sleep. Instead he is mouthing and making an odd face. What could possibly be happening"), pooperpants (usage: "oh. thats what that face was for. the pooperpants seems to have pooped his pants"), crankerpotamus (usage: "Soren is upset but I suppose you too would be a crankerpotamus had you too soiled yourself"), crankersaurus rex (usage: "Oh man, there he really goes. The crankersaurus rex has emerged hungry, poopy and upset. Do not startle to its cries; if you do not move he cannot see you"), and "Your Child" (usage: "Alicia, Your Child wants you").

There is also a growing cast of Nana, Gram, Grammy, Granny, Grumps, Bumpy (or GrandFather), Grandma, Grandpa, G-Ma. Perhaps they warrant another post at some point when we get pictures of them all ...

Baby Soren Meets the World!

The first addition to the Cornwell family made his appearance at 10:18 am on March 6, 2009!  Soren Alexander Cornwell weighed 7 pounds, 14 ounces and was 20.5 inches long.  Unsurprisingly, his head was freakishly large.  We're happy to have him home and look forward to the arduous task of keeping him alive over the next 18 years.
