Grab Bag

Here a few of our favorite recent shots that didn't warrant a longer blog post. Enjoy!

Exersaucer Fun

For the past month or so Soren has been all about standing. I think he would want to stand all day if given the chance. This can be a bit exhausting for mom and dad to hold him up all the time, so we picked up an Exersaucer off Craigslist to see if it could help satiate his need to see the world from a different angle. So far the experiment has been a success:

"Sitting" Up

Despite his top-heavy head situation, Soren is able to "sit" up if he supports himself with his arms (kind of like a tripod). Although when he starts to get tired he topples right over with little warning. It's cute and we can't wait until he's sitting up nice and tall all by himself!

Whoops!

Tickles!

Just like his dad, Soren is extremely ticklish. Unlike his dad however, he loves it! It only takes a few tickles for him to start giggling hysterically. Here's a clip of one of our recent tickle sessions:

Monkeying around

Matt had the day off on Friday so we went up to San Francisco for Dim Sum and to go rock climbing with our friends Andrew and Andrea. We'd better get started baby-proofing soon because Soren had a great time "climbing" the walls!

The Life Aquatic with Soren Cornwell

This past weekend we drove up to Fairfield so Soren could meet his great-grandma Thelma. Unfortunately it was almost 110 degrees in Fairfield! One upside of the extreme heat was that we could justify trying Soren in the pool. At first he seemed quite confused and not sure what to think, but he did give us a smile after having his legs dangling in the water for awhile. I can't wait to get our little aquanaut into swim classes!
